Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Stuffie when you use our service. We have kept them as short and readable as we can. By creating an account or using Stuffie, you agree to them.
1. What Stuffie is
Stuffie is a digital cash-envelope budgeting tool. You create envelopes, assign money to them, and record your spending manually. Stuffie never connects to your bank account — all data in the app is data you entered yourself. Stuffie is a planning and tracking tool; it does not move, hold, or manage actual money.
2. Your account
To use Stuffie you need an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password and email us right away.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Stuffie, and you agree to provide accurate account information.
3. Subscriptions, trials, and refunds
Stuffie offers a 14-day free trial. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription: $4.99 per month or $39 per year. Prices are in US dollars and may change with advance notice; changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
Payments are processed by Creem (creem.io), which acts as the Merchant of Record. That means your purchase is technically made from Creem, which handles payment processing, invoicing, and applicable taxes. We never see or store your card details.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again. Refund requests are handled in accordance with Creem's refund process; if you think a charge was made in error, contact us and we will help you sort it out with Creem.
4. Not financial advice
Stuffie is a budgeting tool, not a financial advisor. Nothing in the app — envelopes, suggestions, summaries, or any other feature — constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Decisions about your money are yours alone, and you should consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
5. Your data belongs to you
You own the data you put into Stuffie. We claim no ownership over your envelopes, transactions, or notes. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, process, and display that data back to you — that is, to run the service.
You can export your data as a CSV at any time, and you can delete your account and data whenever you like. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service. Specifically, you agree not to attempt to breach or probe our security, interfere with the service or other users, reverse engineer the service, use it to store unlawful content, or resell access without our permission. Common sense covers most of this.
7. Service availability
We work hard to keep Stuffie fast and reliable, but we provide the service "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may modify features over time. We recommend exporting your data periodically — it takes one click.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stuffie and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Termination
You may stop using Stuffie and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, after notice where reasonably possible. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable advance notice and time to export your data. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as limitations of liability) will survive.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continuing to use Stuffie after that date means you accept the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
